About The Artist

Jodie is a self-taught artist from the charming village of Alford, Aberdeenshire in Scotland. Armed with watercolours, ink, pastel, and coloured pencils, she brings to life the wild and whimsical scenes of Mother Nature. From the ancient whispering forests to sacred stone circles and castle ruins, Jodie sees magic in every corner of her surroundings.

Her daily adventures with her loyal pups, Brindi and George (absolute icons, pictured below!), fuel her inspiration. Whether she's rambling through the woods, foraging for wild mushrooms, plunging into any swimmable body of water, or dancing her heart out at live gigs, she finds joy in every moment. And these experiences? They’re even sweeter when shared with her talented wood-carver partner, Kenny, and his wonderful daughter (and Jodie’s wee bestie) Karyn.

Jodie has a particular soft spot for painting mushrooms, toadstools, animals, insects, and flowers, each piece infused with a touch of magical realism.

You can step into her world at Everlongart Studio & Gift Shop, nestled at 29 Main Street, Alford. Since opening in April 2016, this little treasure trove has been bursting with incredible creations from some of Aberdeenshire’s finest designers, artists, crafters, and makers. Most of Jodie's work can be seen in person at the shop, so pop by, soak up the creativity, and say hello!
